The Youth Ministry of First United Methodist Church is designed to provide an environment in which youth (grades 7-12) can have fun and grow in Christian love and commitment. FUMC strives to provide a variety of activities to give youth a chance to learn, grow, strengthen their faith and make friends. The youth ministry department is under the direction of Tony Walker.

Sunday School at 9:30 each Sunday downstairs in CROSSroads
Coed YMCA Basketball - practices on Wednesday nights at 7:30 - games in April and May
 
Youth Council being formed- A group of adults and youth coming together to help the youth program with developing and implementing ideas.
  
What's up with youth these day? Well....that's what were working on figuring out! Several decisions need to be addressed in the youth department at FUMC. So, we decided to start at the beginning with trying to answer some basic questions. What type of impression would you like to present as a youth department? What do you feel needs to be done to address your spiritual needs? What adults in the church would you like to see helping out in Sunday School? These questions plus many more are what we are asking ourselves and searching together to find the answers.
 
We believe that the youth are not only a very important part of our future, they are a very important and vital part of our present. We strive to “keep the main thing, the main thing”, which we believe to be….”Love others as I have loved .” (John 15:12)
