Current and Upcoming Events
2015 Advent Studies
Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1 & Thursday, Dec. 3 Sharon Alexander will generic lipitor lead the class on Tuesday mornings at 10am in the Journey Classroom (3rd floor), and on Thursday evenings at 5:30pm Karla Chappell will lead the class at Concho’s Downtown (125 E. Concho Ave).
Mid-Week Advent Services & Lunch
Guest preachers will join us Wednesdays at 12:05 in the Sanctuary to lead us through the season of Advent. Come watch and prepare with us, Wednesdays December 2, 9, 16, & 23. A light lunch will be offered.
Music of the Season
Cokesbury Christian Singers, Chancel Choir, and Children’s Small Groups will perform on Sunday, December 13th at the cipro medication 8:30 and 10:45 services.
On Sunday, December 20 at 3:00pm, our annual Christmas Carol Sing will be presented at FUMC. The annual event is open to everyone who enjoys singing the great Christmas carols celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In addition, the Mature Adult Ministries will be serving delicious hot chocolate and cookies. Come and celebrate with us in song as we prepare to receive the greatest gift our God has given to the world. Members of the Cokesbury Christian Singers also will be there to participate in this carol sing where “all are welcome!”
Advent By Candlelight For Women
The much anticipated Advent by Candlelight is scheduled for Monday, November 30th. If you did not make your reservations for the fellowship portion of the evening, we hope you will join us for worship which will begin at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Speakers for this year’s worship service are: Tamara McWilliams – JOY, Jovan Cosper – LOVE, Anne Haredgree – HOPE and Patty Gardner – PEACE. Come and be blessed.
Calling a Few Good Men
Is your wife or girlfriend attending the Advent by Candlelight for Women on November 30th? If so, would you consider giving an hour or so of your time while we are in worship? We need a few men who would be willing to stay in Celebration Hall while we worship to keep an eye on things and to gather up the coffee carafes and wash them. We would need you to arrive at 7:00 and stay until worship is over at approximately 8:15pm. Let Brenda Stone 325-656-0679 or email@example.com know if you would be willing to lend a helping hand.

FKC Shop Til’ You Drop!—Reservations Begin Dec. 1!
Sign up for SHOP TIL’ YOU DROP on Saturday, December 12th from 9 am to 3 pm. Shop without your kiddos! Your children will spend time playing games, making arts and crafts, watching movies, eating a snack. Cost is $15 per child with a maximum of $40 per family. Reservations are required. Calling all 2nd – 7th graders! Acolytes are an important part of worship. They bring the light of Christ into worship and take it into the world at the end of worship. This is an ancient role in worship, and part of this church’s tradition for many years.
