Church Council Meeting
Church Council will meet on Monday, August 3 at 5:30 pm in the Cheers Classroom.
There are two new faces in the office. Heather Amigleo is replacing Ericka Houze as the Administrative Assistant to the Clergy. She has started training and will work with Ericka until Ericka’s last day on August 13. Marcey Quast is replacing interim Mike Hale as Facilities Manager. She has started training and will work with Mike until Mike’s last day on July 30. Help us welcome them!
Sanctuary Choir rehearsals will begin again on Wednesday, August 19 at 7:00pm in the Choir Room. For more information please contact David Miron in the office or at email@example.com
Would you enjoy providing a wonderful Christian service, through music, to confined seniors in our community? Well, if you are a mature adult (55+) come and join th4e Cokesbury Christian Singers! We rehearse Thursday afternoons from 2:00pm-3:00pm and take our hymn oriented program into the community about twice a month. We also participate in a Sunday morning service about once a month. We are resuming our rehearsals after our summer break on Thursday, August 20 at 2:00 pm in the Choir Room. Service, worship, and fellowship are all part of CCS membership as we bring the joy of our Savior’s love to our confined brothers and sisters. Laundry Love—August 19
“Somebody’s Rusty” will host another Laundry Love on August 19th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Emmanuel Episcopal’s outreach ministry has asked to partner with us and are doing the major part of the event but we still need helping hands there. If you would like to help us and/or can donate clothing please contact Candis Hicks at 325 763 7387 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org Summer clothing is being collected this time. Our next event is” Undee Sunday” on the first Sunday of October. More information will come on that later. Blessed to be a part of such a giving church family.

Filling the FUMC Pantry in August
Please bring plastic grocery bags and canned fruit and meat to the FirstPlace Café or the church office. Leave items in the designated green containers. Send monetary donations, payable to “First UMC” and marked “Food Pantry”, to the church office, or place in the Offering plate.
Lincoln Middle School Box Tops for Education
Cut out and collect Box Tops to help LMS! Each Box Top will be redeemed for cash for the school at the end of the year. Donation containers are in the Church Office and the Information Desk in FPCafé.
