Ash Wednesday
The youth at First United Methodist have a longstanding tradition of burning their Christmas Tree and using the ashes for an Ash Wednesday Worship Service to begin the season of Lent. This year you are invited to share in this tradition. The Youth will be leading a church wide Ash Wednesday Worship Service which will be held on March 1st, in Celebration Hall at 6:00 p.m. You can expect a solemn, contemplative service that is family (especially kid) friendly. The service will include a time for Prayer, Scripture Reading, Singing, Children’s Message, the Imposition of Ashes and maybe some dancing. Please join us as we begin the observance of a holy Lent with this Ash Wednesday Service.
