The Youth Group will be Caroling on Monday, Dec. 22nd.  They are scheduled to be at Myrtlewood Estates at 6:30PM so youth will need to be at the Church parking lot (between Cactus and FUMC) by 6PM sharp to load the van.  They will carol for about 30 minutes then drive to the Bozeman’s residence for dinner.  They will be back to FUMC by 8:15 for pickup.  Gini Fuchs and Laura Harkey will be accompanying Manny Campos, but I would like a head count on youth that will be participating.  Text or call Manny Campos at 325-227-3836.  OPTIONAL:::::Youth are encouraged to wear a Santa Hat and/or an Ugly or not-so Ugly Christmas Sweater/Shirt.

The Chapel Project CD Sale

The Chapel Project represents a return to the basics. It was recorded live in the Chapel at FUMC, just piano (Jay Weatherby) and vocals (Jay Weatherby, Sidonna Hartman & Shelly Weise).  You will find Christmas music and also hymns, including songs such as Away in the Manger, Mary Did You Know, There’s Something about that Name……..and Word of God Speak…..13 songs in all!  It will be available for purchase in First Place Cafe on December 14 and 21.   We hope you will find the music just as worshipful as we did while recording it.  (A portion of the proceeds will go towards the McAllen Mission trip, 2015)

Our Help Needed at Grace & Grub

Did you know that every Tuesday & Thursday school is in session, church-related groups provide a free lunch at Emmanuel Episcopal Church to 175+ high school students between 12:40-1:30? There are some openings for the Spring Semester, and we’ve been asked to help. It takes 8-10 people to cook, serve and clean-up, and the food is provided by your group. There is a kitchen coordinator there to help. If you are interested in participating in this ministry, please contact Sherrie Walker in the Church Office, or the Community G&G Coordinator, Anne Fish, at afish1031@yahoo.com.

Heart Gallery of Northwest Texas in First Place Café

The Heart Gallery is a collection of portraits featuring local children in foster care who are currently waiting to be adopted.  Local professional photographers donate their time and talents to capture the hearts of children who need a loving home.  Our hope is that the Heart Gallery will bring awareness to the number of children who ware waiting for adoption and encourage our community to consider adopting.  Check out the photos displayed now in FP Café!  Go online to learn surprising facts about the positive process of adoption through foster care, or support the Heart Gallery at www.heartgalleryoftexas.org
