Spring Scholarship Applications
FUMC scholarship applications for the spring semester, 2018 are now available in the church office. The forms will be available until February 4 and must be returned to the church office by February 9, 2018.

First Fridays at the Soup Kitchen
Beth McCrea is leading a team of eight people to cook and serve at the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen the first Friday of each month from approximately 9:30-1:30. The next meal will be Feb. 2. There are several spots available for regulars and for substitutes, so if you’d like to help out or learn more please contact Beth at edgemama@reagan.com or (325) 212-7649.

Empty Bowls Event Jan. 25
Empty Bowls is an annual fundraiser for the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen at Wesley Trinity UMC, being held at Whiskey River (125 Concho) on Thursday, January 25 from 5:30-8:30pm. Music, Food, Auctions, and more! Tickets $25 or $40 for two. Soups from several area restaurants will be served, and your ticket will get you a ceramic bowl glazed and fired by artists and other participants for you to take home (while supplies last). SOUPer Bowl of Caring Feb. 4
Help us tackle hunger by coming to a soup lunch after worship on Sunday, February 4 and making a donation for Kids Eat Free, our summer feeding program. There will be a soup pot collection spot at the lunch. Cash is okay or checks made to FUMC. There will be a variety of soups to try. If you would like to bring a crockpot of soup, please complete and return the registration insert so we can save a spot for you. FMI contact Sherrie Walker in the Church Office (325) 655-8981.

Dinner, Jazz & Missions
Join us on Wednesday, January 31 at 5:30 in Celebration Hall as we enjoy a wonderful dinner prepared by the Costa Rica Mission Team, listen to the CHS Jazz Band and hear from missionaries, Ray & Lidia Zirkel from Costa Rica. There is no cost for the evening, but a Love Offering will be collected for the Zirkels’ ministries. Please plan to give generously.

January’s featured artist James Hall in Raw’s first exhibit of 2018, “Sin Hogar”.
January 4 to January 27
“James Hall powerfully captures faces of the homeless.”
For the duration of the show, donations will be accepted at Raw 1899 for  Somebody’s Rusty.

Tiding of last Tuesdays
Tiding of last Tuesdays clothing distribution continues on the last Tuesday of each month.
Winter clothing is needed especially coats and shoes. Donations can be dropped off in the church office.

Blessing Box
The Blessing Box has not replenished itself as hoped. If you could donate one item a week it would make a tremendous difference.

Go on a Mission Trip to Costa Rica
The dates have been set for the 2018 mission trip to Costa Rica. The team leaves on Saturday, July 21 and returns Monday, July 30. During that time the team will help with various construction projects and Vacation Bible Schools for local children.
