Adult Sunday School meets at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. There is a class for you! Sunday School is a great place to grow as a disciple, and meet new people. Tuesday Morning “Morning Glories” Women’s Bible Study Group
The “Morning Glories" meet each Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in the Journey classroom. They have studies of a variety of topics, including many Beth Moore studies. Wednesday Night Men’s Bible Study
Men of all ages are welcome to attend this study that meets every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 pm in Room 303 (STER Room). The study this summer is a video-based series (10-15 mins each) called NOOMA. The video is followed with informal discussion, and the topic is different each week. Enjoy a casual atmosphere. No books required. Coffee provided.  FMI Contact David McMahon at 651-5095.

Friday Morning Men’s Bible Study
Meets each Friday morning at 6 a.m. in the Library. General Bible study and men’s fellowship. For information contact Jim Rasor 949-7504.

FirstStep Class
A study of Methodism and church membership. Led by Sr. Pastor Dr. Ricky Burk, this class is held several times a year. Call the church office (655-8981) for information about the next meeting.

The Academy Night Classes
For 6 to 13 weeks in the Fall (September & October) and in the Spring (January and February), FirstChurch offers a variety of interesting adult classes on Wednesday nights. The classes follow a fellowship meal. Fall Academy is scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 15th. Upcoming classes to be offered for Fall Academy will be provided the latter part of August .

Financial Peace University
Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University is a well-known class on debt elimination and personal financial organization. This class is generally offered several times a year and has made a difference in many families lives. Call the church office (655-8981) to find out when the next class is offered. There is a fee to purchase the materials for the class.

Grief Share
A 13-week grief recovery support group designed to help people grieving the death of a family member or friend.  This support group offers videos which combine internationally acclaimed Christian experts on grief recovery topics with real-life stories of people who’ve been through the journey of grief. This support group is generally offered several times a year and has been instrumental in helping people cope with loss in their lives. Call the church office (655-8981) to find out when the next class is offered. There is a fee to purchase the materials for the class.

Divorce Care
Divorce Care is a 13 week divorce recovery support group that provides the ongoing support and encouragement necessary for healing from divorce. This support group offers videos that feature 32 top Christian experts on divorce and recovery topics, combined with real-life case studies on-location in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format. This support group is generally offered several times a year and has been instrumental in helping people cope with loss in their lives. DC4K
Divorce Care for Kids is a divorce recovery ministry for children ages 5-12. this new program at First United Methodist Church will kick-off this fall in conjunction with Divorce Care for adults.  This is an exciting program with videos, games, music, crafts, and activities to create a warm, caring environment for children of divorce.  This has been an effective ministry to hurting kids as a result of divorce in other areas of the state and country and we are encouraged that it will do the same for the hurting children in the San Angelo area. LifeLine Health Screening
LifeLine Screening procedures can be helpful in identifying risk factors that could lead to stroke. A general sign up sheet is available now in the FirstPlace Cafe. Staff from LifeLine will contact you with specific appointment information and can answer any questions. The screening is scheduled for Wednesday, June 30 in Heritage Hall.
